GPS Elementary Magnet Application

 

Welcome to the Groton Public Schools Elementary Intradistrict Magnet Lottery Application for the 21-22 School Year.

 

Groton families with students entering grades K-5 in September 2021 are invited to learn about our five exciting magnet themed elementary schools, including our two new schools opening in September.  Parents may apply to their non-neighborhood school by completing the online applicatIon linked below!

First-time visitors to the application site will create a new account.  Once created, you may start and submit an application, return to an application in progress and view application history.

IMPORTANT: YOU CAN NOT LOGIN WITH YOUR CURRENT GPS PARENT PORTAL USERNAME AND PASSWORD. YOU MUST CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT.

 

Lottery Application Deadline: Friday, April 23, 2021
 

Important Reminders for Groton Families:

  • Only families who live within the boundaries of Groton Public Schools may apply.
  • You do not need to submit a lottery application if your child will attend their neighborhood school.  Visit our School Locater Map if you need to identify your neighborhood school.
  • Students at CKMS and NEA who accepted a magnet seat in a prior year lottery and plan to stay at their school do not need to submit an application, unless you are interested changing your school.

What happens after I submit my application?

Once the application period closes, Groton Public Schools will conduct the district lottery. Families who have submitted an application will be contacted the first week of May.
