Fitch NJROTC Completes First Naval Inspection
Fitch High School's Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) successfully completed their 1st annual Area Manager's Inspection (AMI) on Thursday, November 16th, 2023 with Lieutenant Commander Terance J. Henkle USNN-Ret as the Senior Naval Science Instructor (SNSI). LT Hicks Area 1/3 Five Area Manager was the inspecting officer. Fitch NJROTC unit had only 9 weeks to organize, practice, and study for their upcoming inspection.
Forty cadets were graded at the unit personnel inspection which measured their basic knowledge of the program, grooming standards, and uniform appearance. The unit was also evaluated on their color guard performance, as well as program management with the Operations, Administration, and Supply within the overall NJROTC Program.
During the inspections, an award ceremony was also held in which some cadets were advanced, and other cadets received the leadership, color guard, and physical fitness ribbon.
