End of Year School Schedules

On March 23rd, the Board of Education voted to hold the Fitch High School Graduation on Thursday, June 18th, 2026. Graduation will take place at Fitch High School at 4:30 p.m. All schools will be dismissed early.

As required by the Connecticut State Department f Education, all schools must be in session for 180 days each year. With snow days and school closures this year, students at Fitch High School, Groton Middle School, and Charles Barnum, Northeast Academy, and Thames River Elementary Schools will go to school until Tuesday, June 23rd, which will be an early dismissal day. In addition, on Wednesday, June 24th, the final day for teachers, Catherine Kolnaski and Mystic River Elementary School students will attend school from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to make up their additional closure day.

 

End of Year Student Schedule

  • June 18th - All schools: early dismissal
  • June 19th - District will be closed in observation of Juneteenth
  • June 22nd - All schools: full day
  • June 23rd - All schools: early dismissal
  • June 24th - CKMS and MRMS students only - 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. (no preschool or prekindergarten)
