Registration

Welcome to Groton Public Schools!  We are happy you will be joining us.  

Registration of all school age children in grades K-12 takes place at:

Central Office, 1300 Flanders Road, Mystic, CT 06355

Please call 860.572.2100 or email Registration@groton.k12.ct.us to make a registration appointment.  


What to bring WITH You for your appointment

Before you leave home, take a moment to go through the following check list to make sure you bring all the appropriate documents and evidence needed to complete the registration process.

  • Proof of residency -  Policy P 5112.2 Admission Requirements for Resident Students outlines acceptable proof of residency documentation.

  • Picture ID - driver's license, military id, passport, etc.

  • Child's Birth Certificate - This document needs to have the raised seal from the town or city of birth.

  • Proof of guardianship, if you are not the birth parent or if you are divorced - Adoption papers, court order clarifying guardianship, guardianship papers from Probate Court, DCF form 603 (must be signed by DCF or legal designee)

  • Child's Immunization Record - This is not required to register, but will be requested by the school nurse prior to the first day of school.

  • Proof of Physical Exam - Proof of a physical exam is not required to register but will be requested by the school nurse prior to the first day of school.  The health assessment form side one must be completed by the parent; side two is to be completed and signed by a health care professional.
