Falcons Rise


Falcons Rise is an after school tutoring program providing academic support to students.

Fitch High School students serve as tutors to support GMS students in the core and exploratory classes. Tutoring is available three days a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tutoring will occur remotely for all students.

To Begin the Process of Receiving Mentor Tutoring


  • Students who are in school on Mondays and Thursdays will participate virtually in the cafeteria; those who are remote learners (fully distance or due to cohort scheduling) will attend from home.
  • A late bus will be available at the conclusion of each tutoring session. 
  • On Wednesdays, only virtual tutoring will occur.  
  • Students interested in participating are required to complete a permission/referral form.
  • Students may attend on the day that they prefer, unless Falcons RISE has been recommended as an intervention.
  • Students who are planning to attend as a “walk-in” are required to sign-in by 1:00 p.m. on the day they plan to attend.

  • Identify schedule that works for both parties 

  • Be prepared and ready prior to each session

  • Be open to sharing Strengths and Weaknesses 

  • Contribute to a positive learning experience with mutual respect and focus on achievement 

➢ Be Professional and School Appropriate 

  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times 

  • Be dressed appropriately for the sessions

➢ Work space for learning (sitting up) 

➢ Use first name and last name 

➢ Camera on

➢ Use microphone 

➢ Share screen 

➢ Minimize distractions/background noise
