Lego League Robotics Club 

Wednesdays After School in Rm 117 with Mrs. Forstmann & Ms. Walsh 

French Club

Wednesdays after school in Room 221 with Mesdames Clark et Stover. Permission slips are required.

Students will take the late bus home or parents may pick up their French Club students at 4:15.

Drama Club

Ms. Celey ~ Pirates of Penzance Rehearsals

Meets in the Black Box Theater Wednesdays after school until the late bus.

Student Council

Student Council is a full year commitment with TWO Monday meetings per month in room 303 with Ms. Irace and Ms. Lambert

If you have other commitments (sports, clubs, etc.) You must discuss when you will be able to come, or if you will be able to come with your coach or other teacher. 

In Student Council, we do many different activities. You must be ready to get dirty!

We:

• Garden

• Plan events, fundraisers, and spirit weeks

• Do different projects (Posters, painting, etc.)

• We send audio recordings of ourselves reading books for the Elementary schools

Yearbook Club

Interested in the 2022-2023 GMS Yearbook Committee?

Get involved with your school community and take part in capturing all the exciting things happening in your school! 

Yearbook Meetings are held on Mondays in room 123 with Ms. Courtright until the late bus at 4:15pm. Permission slips are required to participate in the yearbook committee.

Newspaper Club

Meets every Wednesday, after school in room 301 with Ms. Mokrzewski.

S.T.E.P.S (Striving Toward Empowerment Personal Success)

This program will meet on Mondays, in Room 121, until the late bus.

It will be facilitated by representatives of S.T.E.P.S and volunteers from the Groton, New London and Norwich community. We will provide a positive environment where girls can grow confidence, speak freely about concerns, experience diversity, share ideas and have fun at the same time.

Mindfulness Enrichment Club

Mondays of Mindfulness is an after school club focused on helping you decompress from the stress and chaos of day to day life. You can expect to learn strategies that help you unwind and relax, as well as ways to help you stay more present in each moment.

Meets Mondays after school until late bus on January 9th, 23rd, February 13th and 27th and March 6th in Room 304.

GMS Chess Club

Chess Club meets Thursdays in Room 203 ~ February 23rd, March 2nd, March 9th, Marth 16th, March 30th and April 6th.

Fitness and Yoga

Fitness and Yoga intramurals will meet in the movement studio on Wednesdays. Meetings will go until the late bus at 4:15 PM. Parent pick-ups will be in the back of the school. Please bring appropriate clothing, and water bottles. Meeting dates are February 15th and 22nd, March 1st , 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th and April 5th. GMS Gardening Club

Do you love gardening, flowers, and being outdoors? If so, you should join the GMS Gardening Club! We are on a mission to use our green thumbs to fill our school grounds with beautiful flowers and plant life! The club will meet every Thursday after school starting on April 20th.
