Groton Middle School Mission StatementThe mission of Groton Middle School is to create a unified, inclusive, and safe learning community which meets the needs of all learners. To achieve this goal, faculty and staff will work collaboratively and respectfully with the families we serve to inspire students to become inquiring, engaged, and compassionate members of their communities. GMS students have returned to in-person learning 4 days as of Monday, April 5.

GMS SBAC and NGSS Assessments
GMS will be administering SBAC Assessments on May 5th, 12th and 19th to all three grades and the NGSS to 8th grade studetent only on May 19th.
GMS Spring Sports and Intramural Update
Now that the winter sports and intramural programs are well underway, it’s time to start planning our spring programs!
This spring, Groton Middle School will offer the following interscholastic sports: Girls’ Softball and Boys’ and Girls’ Track and Field, as well as intramural Volleyball and Flag Football.

Cost per/book $30 (optional payment plan available)
This year to ensure that the Yearbook can capture as much of the activities and events, and in person learning as possible, there will be a summer delivery for the book. This extends our deadline and allows for more pictures and fun to be included.
Yearbooks will be available for pickup during the week of July 12th. The specific dates and times will be forthcoming.

NEW: Falcons Rise After School Tutoring Program Provides Support to GMS students.
GMS students can sign-up for tutoring in core and exploratory classes from Fitch High School students. Tutoring is available three days a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m and will occur remotely.
