Groton Public Schools Impact Aid Survey Coming Tuesday, October 1, 2024
Dear Groton Families,
It's almost time to complete your student’s annual Impact Aid Survey Form. On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, you'll receive a link to complete this year's form in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please complete a form for each student.
Each year Groton Public Schools receives Impact Aid funds from the federal government. These funds are a significant portion of our budget and contribute to enriching educational programs and activities for all our students.
The amount we receive is based on the number of students with parents who are active military or work or live on federal property in our community, such as the SUBASE, Beacon Point Homes, Electric Boat, and the local casinos. Even if you don’t live or work on federal property we need you to complete the survey, so we can represent our entire community. Every student, every survey counts!
The form does not ask for any personal income information and is not used to determine individual student need or aid. All your information remains confidential.
